I write to you on this beautifully sunny day as I sit on my favorite chair, watching one of my favorite movies, thinking, day dreaming, and planning what foods I should cook this weekend. Yap, I have the day off from my official day job and I spend it reading cookbooks like they’re Pulitzer prize winners.
There is nothing more satisfying than turning the pages of a cookbook looking at the mouth watering pictures only to find that the whole ordeal has sent your taste buds into a roller coaster ride of flavor anticipation … Certifiable Food Nut you might say — perhaps, but yet I chuckle to myself as I find this endearing term a perfect snapshot of what I feel I am meant to be and do ~ simply said FOOD is definitely my next career!!!
The fun part about being in Chef school is that my homework is fun! What’s more fun to me is that I get to feed many people which have filtered themselves through my life and watch in awe as they keep asking for more.
So here’s a glimpse of what I am ramping up to bake this weekend (sorry honey for the anticipated messy kitchen – I’ll clean up, I promise); so my dear food lovers (you know who you are, my C.S. peeps) come to work hungry Monday as food will await you – just follow the white little containers!
