I have recently finished reading a book which I’ve thoroughly enjoyed. The “Why” Cafe is definitely something I would recommend everyone to read. It speaks of what each and every one of us often asks — why. Why do we do what we do every day, why do we follow one path versus another? I found the book to be a very quick read and successfully inspirational in a non threatening way.
So here’s how I answered my “why” questions. I am not saying that I reject all that our society implies we should do – but I am increasingly more aware that it is so important to live life each and every day the way you want it.
In your life, you will meet up with leaders and followers – which one are you? Do you wait for someone to show you the way or do you pave the way yourself?
In the last 6 years, I have, more than ever, lived life the way I wanted – I have always been known to take care of everyone, and I mean everyone before taking care of myself …… I am here to confirm to you that it is not wrong to take care of yourself first.
For me, joining cooking school was a big gift to myself – I deserve it…. And luckily, my love for food and cooking is now the building blocks to my future. What more can a person ask for.
I am a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a wife, a friend but first and foremost, I am my own advocate for making everyday the best day ever for me. Others will inevitably gain from my peace of mind – so I urge you to find your positive inner person and let it shine from the inside out.
And of course, never stop doing what feels good to you – for me it’s cooking, writing, working for my business and unconditionally loving everyone that surrounds me in my life.
Stay cool and cook a little something – you’ll see how food, spices, and your kitchen can shape your day into a big ball of sunny energy.
Talk to you soon,
