I can positively confirm that I am finally and happily back on the roads leading to our local farms.
This summer turned out to be quite chaotic – one family funeral, one family hospitalization, one friend memorial, a midterm at school and some of the hottest temperatures I remember experiencing.
School is going well – I can’t believe that there is only 2 months left. This upcoming ending of an era comes as a bittersweet event for me. I have had a great time at school, made wonderful crazy friends which I hope to cherish for many more years, had a lively teacher who continues to share his knowledge with us unconditionally – I will miss these people who I have become accustomed to meeting each and every Monday and Tuesday. I guess I will have to come up with something new to do on those days —- but sincerely, I think I am going to play couch-potato for a while, especially as we approach our winter season (which I truly enjoy by the way).
So here’s the plan – Saturday and Sunday this weekend; it’s going to be me and the country air colliding into a euphoric road trip. I have carefully planned my route to ensure that logistically it all makes sense. I am sure I have told you that I absolutely love making lists…. one can never have enough lists to guide them through each day 🙂
The weather is expected to be super hot (of course) this Saturday, sunny and 31 degrees – just perfect!!!
I am hoping to cuddle up to my computer Saturday evening and begin sharing my experiences with you by putting on the screen what my sight, smell, and touch have encountered through this journey.
I am excited about it and a little sad that today is only Wednesday…. Let’s get over this hump day and let’s get moving already …. At least I have my “date night” with my hubby to look forward to tonight. Each week we choose one night to go out for dinner where we enjoy the culinary successes of my fellow chefs and cooks in or around Guelph. Not totally decided where we’re going tonight but I am sure it will be good!
See you soon!
